October 31st is a day known by all as Halloween, but for us at DBaC it is also marks our 30th anniversary this year! Our owner and president, John M. Curci, started DBaC in October of 1991, at just 26 years old. He would spend the early years driving from Newport Beach out to Palm Desert every day to supervise his own jobs, and constantly making connections in the commercial real estate world close to home. Since then, John has grown DBAC into one of the most trusted and decorated General Contracting companies in Orange County, with 7 Project Managers, 17 Superintendents, and 8 supporting members in the office. But one of the qualities we are most proud of in him, is the long-lasting bonds he has formed across all facets of the company.

Of our current 31 employee staff, 8 have been on board for 20+ years, which speaks volumes to the kind of leader John is. Not to mention the subcontractors that have relationships with DBAC from day 1. We truly would not be where we are today if it wasn’t for the outstanding subcontractors that make our job easier, more fun, and complete our projects with such care and precision. Every summer, we get together with our subcontractors and go to the OC Fair and Del Mar Racetrack as a thank you for all they do for us because it just wouldn’t be the same without the people we get to work with every day. And let’s not forget the relationships spanning decades with our clients all over Southern California. Over our 30-year history, nearly 85% of the projects we have completed are pre-established clients! That means the dedication and attention to detail that John and our ‘Founding Fathers’ put in during the early years paid off with loyalty and trust from some of the biggest names in commercial real estate in the county. Companies like The Irvine Company, Bixby Land Company, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Cushman and Wakefield, CBRE and so many others continue to come back to us for their commercial construction projects because of the foundation that was laid so many years ago.

If there is one word to describe DBAC, it is loyal. Loyal to our staff, our subcontractors, and our clients. And we have appreciated all the trust and loyalty returned to us over the years. So, thank you, and we look forward to another 30 years of working together!
