The holiday season is notorious for being the busiest travel months of the year. Lucky for us, we have the very convenient John Wayne Airport here in our backyard. The area around airport’s tend to have hotels and business parks for easy and convenient work travel and we were lucky enough to build out two new buildings just down the street from ours! Brand new roofs and a re-imaged courtyard turned the outdated buildings into new fresh ones with plenty of room for multiple tenants. This month we would also like to introduce the newest member of the DBAC family, Amy Brady!

The 4301 and 4321 Birch Street buildings are in Newport Beach, across the street from John Wayne Airport (SNA). This project was run by Project Manager, JP Peschelt and Superintendent Eric Benson. The scope of the project was to renovate (1) one story building and (1) two story building, providing seismic upgrades to current code, new electrical 800 Amps at both buildings, re-imaging of the storefront systems, new single ply TPO roofs, and a new courtyard with shade canopies and fresh landscaping. The buildings are zoned for medical offices and can vary from 2,100 SF offices to 11,000 SF offices. Currently built in shell form, these buildings are within walking distance of the many hotels, restaurants and other businesses in the area. This 29,000 SF project came in at $2.1 Million and is wrapping up this month. If you are in the area, feel free to check out our work!

Amy Brady is our new Project Assistant and comes to us with a background career in the construction and architecture industry. Before she started her work career, she grew up in Monarch Beach where her mother still lives in her childhood home. Now she is the proud mother of Alec and Avery, 22 and 19 respectively, and stepmom to Tiffany as well. Alec is in the ranks to become an Army Ranger and Avery is studying at Santa Barbara City College and looking to attend UCSB in the fall of 2020. Currently living in Ladera Ranch, she is now focusing her parental skills on Skittle and Saline, her two cats! When she isn’t working at DBAC, Amy like to spend her time watching football. College or NFL, it doesn’t matter. Her knowledge of the game could get her a job as a professional referee but we sure are happy she chose to work with us instead! Welcome to the team Amy, and fight on!

Have a wonderful holiday season,

DBAC
