We hope you had a fantastic and safe 4th of July holiday weekend. Even though the beaches were closed, the Newport Harbor was open and the locals took advantage. Social distancing isn’t too hard when you can be on a boat in the ocean! As summer has kicked into full gear it has been exciting to see our community rally around the new normal, with plenty of restaurants taking advantage of their parking lots and using them for outdoor dining. There are not many things that beat having a drink and enjoying the epic weather! Restaurants such as The Helmsman and El Ranchito have been working hard to provide a safe dining experience and they have been rewarded with full tables on their patio’s and parking lots for weeks now.
We at DBaC are blessed to call Orange County our home, and we are also blessed to have the opportunity to build the homes of other businesses in the region. We take pride in every job we manage, from pre-construction all the way to final inspection and occupancy, we are here for you. Recently, our team of Matt Veltre and Shawn Higgins completed a project for Burning Rock Dx in Irvine and received high regards for our work.
Burning Rock Dx is a Biotech company that focuses on providing individualized cancer treatment guidance for its patients using medical and bio informatics and Next-Gen sequencing. In order for their business to be successful, they need a customized state of the art facility that can provide exactly what they need. That’s where we come in. Our scope of work was to take the existing 11,651 SF lab and create their new facility including a Fume Hood with stainless steel exhaust duct, refrigerator and freezers for the tissue sample storage, centrifuges, eye wash and emergency showers, and a natural gas generator for back-up power. Our Superintendent for the project, Shawn Higgins, kept the project on schedule while our PM Matt Veltre maintained the project’s budget. At completion of the project, Shawn and Matt received an excellent remark from our client.
