Founded in 1896, Bixby Land Company has played a significant role in shaping Southern California’s growth. When it came time to design their new headquarters, the goal was to create a space that honored their rich history while reflecting their forward-thinking vision.

The project team—IA Architects and DBaC, Inc.—embraced the challenge of delivering a distinctive, high-design environment within a disciplined $70 per square foot budget. Through close collaboration, the team explored alternative subcontractors, sourced inspiration from local homes, and maintained an open, solution-focused dialogue between design and construction at every stage.

The result: a headquarters delivered on time and within budget, featuring unique design and construction elements not previously seen in Southern California—an inspiring space that reflects both the company’s legacy and its future ambitions.
