Employee Spotlight
Sue Berry is one of a kind. She has never failed to entertain the DBaC team in the sixteen years she has graced us with her presence. Her work as a project accountant is vital to the day-to-day operations at DBaC. The behind the scenes work of these individuals keeps the financial operations running. An early bird, most days you can find Sue at her desk getting the day started at 6 am. At 11:30 am you can find her sitting in our kitchen reading one of her trademark James Patterson novels and, if you ask, she will jump right in to discuss in colorful terms the commuters she sees every day driving up from South Orange County. She has great relationships with fellow team members and subcontractors alike. Sue has one son, Joey, will be 36 at the end of the month. Her vacation time is spent hanging out with friends in Santa Clarita or taking cruises anywhere she can go by water. Sue is always front and center at both the annual DBaC OC Fair day and the trip to Del Mar Racetrack. Thanks Sue!!
Tenant Improving
In addition to office and industrial tenant improvement work, we have a thriving retail practice. Our retail clients include both landlords like The Irvine Company and tenants like Urban Decay. This month the retail job we focus on is a place many of us frequent, the Lido Tasting Room. Located in the Lido Shipyard, just steps
from our office, the Lido Tasting Room is where Old Vineyard Meets Shipyard. Right across the path from legendary local eatery Sabatino’s
Sausage Company, the Tasting Room is a wine tasting experience featuring award-winning wines from the Bravante Vineyards of the Napa Valley. We worked with both the Shipyard ownership and the masterminds behind the Lido Tasting Room to create a welcoming space with seating in an open plan and utilizing the natural light with a large
bay window facing the walkway. As you can see from the attached pictures, everyone from the landlord, the good people from Bravante and local ownership is ecstatic about the space. Our spotlight employee, Sue Berry, joins other team members to sneak over after work for a taste. The DBaC team loves Lido Tasting Room! Come check it out Wednesday through Saturday from 5 to 9 PM and Sunday from 4 to 8 PM. See you there and cheers!
