Challenge: Within a very short time frame, construct a new headquarters for TEN (The Enthusiasts Network, a media group with brands such as Surfer, Motor Trend, Automobile, Hotrod an Grind TV.) The headquarters had to be functional for a fluid business environment that includes all types of media, plus photography studios and area for classic cars and hotrods.
Solution: Simply put, superior supervision. Constant communication with both the design team and the tenant from a supervision team with a combined 40+ years in the field led to anticipating challenges before they arose and having tough conversations with all involved. An example of that would be as the deadline for move in approached DBaC’s supervision team decided to selectively schedule overtime to assist in meeting inspection deadlines. This selective use limited biting into contingency pools and allowed the tenant to move in within budget.
Result: TEN Moved into their headquarters on time, within budget and ecstatic about their new home.
